Description
Catch Of The Day by Mary Lou Chmura
It was a day like no other at the Sharon Rose Wiechens Wildlife Preserve, in The Villages, Florida.
If ever there was a time where patience and persistence paid off it was today, for this great blue heron as well as myself.
I watched patiently as this great blue heron persistently stalked this large mouth bass. It was a good hour and half before he finally made the plunge and came up with his magnificent catch of the day.
Just like the quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Adopt the pace of Nature her secret is patience."
Nature is full of these gentle reminders and always seem to place them in our path when we are most in need.
The moment we both had been waiting for had arrived. I was so amazed by the size of this mighty large mouth bass. And even more amazed that he could carry something that big let alone, swallow it whole after he was done killing it.
For all you fishers out there eat your hearts out, this is not one of those famous fish stories about the big one that got away. The picture tells it all!
This composition, “Catch of the Day,” will bring a sense of triumphant glory to any fisherman's retreat. May it also serve as one of Nature's greatest lessons of patience and persistence.
It may be purchased as a poster, framed wall art print, canvas art print, acrylic print, metal prints , tote bags, iPhone cover etc.
Please Note: The fine art America watermark will not appear on your purchased print.

For sure, Steve, he ate the whole thing in one bite and then drank a lot of water!
