The Magnolia grandiflora found in the southern states, more commonly known as, the Southern Magnolia is a an evergreen tree that often reaches heights of 15 to 20 feet high.
With it's enormous white elegant flowers or cone shaped buds; bright shiny leaves and lemony sweet fragrance it is by far a magnificently impressive tree.

These enormous, yet elegant flowers are often used in southern style wedding bouquets.
One of the many symbolism's of the magnolia and thus by far my favorite is the, “Love of Nature.”
The flowers are also associated with perseverance, dignity and nobility.
What has always captivated my attention is the detailed, intricate centers of these magnificently gorgeous blossoms.
