There is something that happens when you are open to your senses and walk through life with a fresh new set of eyes.

It was one of those days where the sun was intermittent and there was a gentle breeze. This flower was graciously swaying in a poetic dance all of it's own. Although, it was beautiful, and I was in awe just watching. I knew that with that much movement I was certainly not going to capture any great macro shots. I decided to take off my macro lens and put on my artistic lensbaby soft focus lens as I knew that this would capture the gracious floral dance.

I no sooner changed my lens and lo and behold a yellow and black ladybug just wandered onto a leaf in the midst of this beautiful flower. I just love it when I am photographying a flower and a lovely little creature just comes out of nowhere. That's what happened on this beautiful day.

Not only did this ladybug appear out of nowhere. It was like she was on a voyage of discovery. She was a real ham and stuck around for the entire photo shoot. I thanked her kindly when I was done and we parted our ways. Thus, "The Voyage of Discovery," was born.
