Description
The Great Egret Shimmy and Shake Dance by Mary Lou Chmura
The Great White Egret is not only famous for its symbolic association with the National Audubon Society. It has claimed the fame for the shimmy and shake dance. (lol).
Aside from its pristinely white and stately nature the Great Egret lets down its feathery plumes and gets a little silly doing what I refer to as “The Great Egret Shimmy and Shake Dance”.
Early in the breeding season, the great egret grows long feathery plumes, also known as aigrettes which are used for display in their courtship behaviors.
The males perform most of the courtship displays, from the preening of their elegant plumes to outstretching their necks and shaking their backsides.
This Fine Art Composition, titled, “The Great Egret Shimmy and Shake Dance,” comes in a multitude of sizes and media formats to accommodate whatever your needs may be. It is suitable as a home decor or office wall print that will bring a sense of silly, frolicky humor to any room reminding us all to let down or feathers and have some fun.
You may purchase this print as a poster, matted and framed wall art print, canvas art print, metal prints, tote bags, iPhone cover, etc.
Please note: The fine art America watermark will not appear on your purchased print.
