Description
Coots Skipping Across The Water by Mary Lou Chmura
Coots are waterbirds related to the secretive rails. Coots, which are commonly found in flocks, can be quite noisy and aggressive when protecting their territory from other birds. On this particular early evening I had the privilege of witnessing them skip across the water in the sunset, having the time of their lives. It was a real treat and nice way to end the day. This picture was taken at the Sharon Rose Wiechens Preserve located in The Villages, Florida.
