This Photography print, "Afternoon Siesta’” is a series of four prints from a recent visit at the Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Today, I began my morning walk at the Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
After reaching the hill’s base, I embarked on a journey along the lengthy pathway wedged between two bodies of water.
Before long, I was completely engrossed in a world brimming with awe-inspiring sounds of nature. My whole being was awakened by the feeling of the sun’s warmth on my skin, the sounds of frogs croaking, and the enchanting sight of wild purple irises aligning the banks on both sides of the path. An all too familiar scene that returns more beautiful than the year before every spring.
I was soon warmly greeted by gaggles of Canadian geese families. With great pride, they showcased their charming goslings. With their yellow feathers, soft fluffiness, cute waddles, and adorable little honks, each gosling had a unique personality all of its own.
Despite being overwhelmed by my senses, my heart was ablaze with passion as I eagerly sought the chance to photograph the innocent nature of these cunning little creatures as they wandered about with their siblings exploring their surroundings.
The seamless harmony of the universe’s elements evoked a deep sense of appreciation and joy at the privilege of being alive and savoring this gorgeous morning.
